All right, so I am back to blogging.   This anti-design web site is still a work in progress, but as with music, you’ll never release anything if you wait until something is perfect.

So I am letting the cat out of the bag now.

Hello Blogosphere.  My name is Ari Koinuma.  I am a musician in Minneapolis/St. Paul area. I am originally from Japan, in my mid-30s, and love my wife and kids very much.  But next to them, the thing I love the most is music.

I’m actually a pretty poor listener of music.  When I listen to music, most of the time I’m thinking “I wanna play!”  This is particularly bad if I go see any live music (and if I’m enjoying it).

Any form of making music, I enjoy.  Well, “enjoy” may not be the right word.  I can’t live without it.  Yet, there were times when I did live with very little of it.  I was still alive, but sort of as a living dead.  I wasn’t fully dead, but I wasn’t fully alive, either.

When I wasn’t making music, I got into other things — like buidling web sites and blogging.  So if you Google my name, you’ll find a lot of my stuff in that format.  But now it’s sort of back to music.  And it’ll stay that way for the foreseeable future.

The best gift I can offer to the world is my music making.  I have a lot to offer.  I’m going to stop holding back now.
