My ever-insightful hero Derek Sivers has this to say about the First Follower:

Leadership is over-glorified.

It was the first follower that transformed a lone nut into a leader.

The not-so-insightful me of the past, had attracted First Followers.  My response?

Oh, that’s nothing.  I’m supposed to attract thousands of fans, and what I got, like five?  Man, I suck.

And I squandered away the little spark that could have grown.
