Books

Here are the books I read.  Updated every few weeks.  My vision is to do this page like my hero Derek Sivers’ reading list, but for now I’m going to start with a bare-bone list.

This list includes everything, from web development to business/entrepreneurism to guitars to spiritual/personal development.  I considered separating them out to different audiences like I do with my blogs — but not now.

You can tell a lot about someone from the books s/he reads and owns.  It’s a reflection of our interests.  The bolded books, I own.  I try not to own too many, and the fact that I didn’t get some of the books doesn’t mean they weren’t good.  I just don’t want to own too many things, so only the books that I foresee returning to — references, to re-read, and so on — I buy.

A word about the notes: they contain both pieces of the books, and my reactions to them.  In order to keep them quick and uncumbersome, I’m not bothering to properly differentiate between quotes, summarization, and reactions.  They are all good books, go read them, but what you get out of them, obviously, may differ from what I got out.  If I bothered to read them and list them here, you can bet that I found them worthwhile.
