The Cranberries “Free to Decide” from To the Faithful Departed

You know, I read many advices.  Because they are all around.

The good thing about life is that you never run out of room for improvement.

But, if optimization is your requirement — it can drive you mad.

I took them all in for so long — and now I’m trying to shut most of them out.

Yes, they mean well.  They all want to help you.

But what they really mean is, if we don’t follow, then we’re screwed.

It’s not worth anything more than this at all
I live as I choose or I will not live at all

So return to where you’ve come from
Return to where you dwell
Because harassment’s not my forte
But you do it very well

I’m free to decide, I’m free to decide
And I’m not so suicidal after all
I’m free to decide, I’m free to decide
And I’m not so suicidal after all

So — to my friends, the unsolicited advices — kindly, go away.

I’m learning to be Good Enough.
